Something that should have been made a reality for Windows mobile users a long time ago has only just been made officially available according to reports. Microsoft’s MyPhone Beta is a WinMob handset application that works as a back up service for all your data stored on the handset.
Users with a Windows Live account can easily access the service. There are a quite a few limitations to the service as of now. Hopefully after the beta stage has been revised, those issues would be fixed. Like many other services and options to safe guard your data the MyPhone service allows users to store and restore data to and from your handset via an online server. However one of the limitations is that all this data can’t exceed 200MB. One of the few fixes predicted for the next version include access to the handset’s directory to make changes to settings like switching desktop wallpapers tones etc.
